Mattress Sale Update:
Thank you to everyone who took the time to promote, organize, and work the band’s first annual Mattress Sale. We sold 31 mattresses, and raised $4500.00 for the May River Band Department! Special thank you to Mrs. Lanzone for chairing the fundraiser! What a fantastic start!!!!
Friday Game away @ Bluffton High School:
Big game this week! Last game came down the wire and was separated by a single score. The band will be participating in the game, however, at the time of this BLOG post, it has been undetermined whether or not the band will be performing their show at the game (before the game / it is Bluffton High School’s homecoming). If it is determined that the band is to perform the show, the band will dress out in full uniform for the game. If the band is to participate as a pep band only in the stands for the game, we will keep our uniforms clean for Saturday and wear summer uniforms to the game.
BAND COMPETITION THIS SATURDAY – Walterboro Band Classic – Colleton County HS:
The May River HS “SILVER SOUND” will participate in only their 2nd competition as a marching band program this Saturday, at the 40th Annual Walterboro Band Classic at Colleton County HS in Walterboro, SC.
Hope to “hear” you there!!!!!!!
